Stay and Play in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana

Lafayette-West Lafayette is your next stop for a perfect golf getaway! We offer world-class golf, affordable packages and an unforgettable experience; making us a premiere golf destination. Lafayette-West Lafayette has been recognized by Golf Digest, the PGA and Golf Advisor as having unparalleled courses that will make any golfer’s trip memorable. Our courses include: two Pete Dye courses located at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, Coyote Crossing that was designed by the famed Hale Irwin, Harrison Hills Golf and Country Club and Battle Ground Golf Club. Below, three of the above mentioned courses are highlighted and will give you all the reason you need to book your next golf getaway with us!

Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex – Kampen Course

If you’re looking for a golf course that will challenge you at every facet of your golf game, play the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. This Pete Dye designed golf course that opened in 1998 presents a challenge for golfers of all abilities with vast sand bunkers, native grasslands, ponds and a natural celery bog. All of these come into play on hole #6, personally my favorite to play. The 6th hole is a long par 5 that forces you to play the left side as there is constant danger on the right. Your approach shot to the green is incredibly difficult as you face a long bunker to the right and another bunker protecting the back side of the green. Good luck. The scary part is this hole pales in comparison to #18 in level of difficulty. #18 is a 484-yard, par-4 where you're generally hitting into the wind. You have an intimidating tee shot because trees surround the box creating somewhat of a chute-shot. Down the fairway, there's a tree to the right, with a large bunker to the left. You're hitting to a large, elevated green, protected by bunkers and Out-of-Bounds to the left. Each hole presents its own challenge on Kampen, but I promise it is worth the number of golf balls you are bound to lose. Each picturesque hole is a testament to the seemingly limitless number of challenges any given round can present.

Coyote Crossing Golf Club

Coyote Crossing Golf Club offers an unforgettable golfing experience to players of all skill levels. This Hale Irwin designed golf course opened in 2000 and has garnered spectacular reviews, including a 4 1/2 star rating from Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.” Offering breathtaking views of both open meadows and mature wooded areas, every hole presents a unique challenge. Driving your golf cart up to the tee box on hole nine, my personal favorite, you see a heavily guarded fairway and realize you’re in for a fun challenging hole. Your tee shot appears daunting as you stare down a chute that has wooded area to your left and several more trees to your right. The window to squeeze your shot into the landing zone is very small to set-up the perfect approach shot. Many golfers will choose to lay-up here to play it safe, but I always end up going for it, even though it gets me in trouble more times than not. Once you get through the trees, you have scenic approach shot into a large green that is surrounded by large bunkers on every side, a pond to your left and the clubhouse in the background. This championship course offers its own twist and turns on every hole to keep you on your toes. Once you get a taste of this challenging, yet rewarding golf course, you will be back for more.

Harrison Hills Golf and Country Club

Harrison Hills Golf & Country Club is a spectacular championship style golf course with more than 200 rolling acres of spectacular views. This William B. Langford designed golf course opened in 1924 and has been leaving unforgettable memories with golfers for decades due to its unique layout. The course has been designed to be enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, but can be challenging if you play from the tips. Hole #10 can be especially challenging, but the view from the tee box on this hole is breathtaking. A small pond protects the entire left side and huge trees the right of this very demanding Par 4. A good tee shot to the middle of this fairway will bring you a sigh of relief. The relatively flat green has subtle slopes making it tough to get your approach close. Hitting the middle of this green does not even assure you a two putt. Stay away from the “other” and move on. Making a jump to hole #15, this uphill, dogleg right, has been the signature hole since it was built in 1924. A blind landing zone with OB that seems to creep in from the left requires a smart tee shot. Play your tee shot to the 100 yard marker, but get a good look at the pin from the tee as a blind second shot awaits to this elevated green. Two of the deepest bunkers you will ever see guard the right and left sides of this narrow, undulating green. A huge hill in the middle of this green dissects the front and back. Choose your approach yardage wisely. The one wise thing you can do, is to come out and play Harrison Hills Golf & Country Club. Head for the hills sometime this summer to enjoy an unforgettable round of golf!

Barefoot Resort & Golf Boasts Four Legendary Courses

Norman, Love, Fazio, and Dye Combine Forces for a Memorable Experience

Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, SC is blessed to feature four unique designs by four iconic designers. Please see below for details on each property.

Norman Course

Greg Norman Golf Course Design (GNGCD) is recognized as the premier
signature golf course design firm in the world, featuring over 100 courses
opened across 34 countries and six continents, with many having won
prestigious design awards.

The Norman design at Barefoot Resort has seven holes along the Intracoastal
Waterway framed by the site’s original vegetation, each hole enhances the
beauty of its natural vistas.

Combined with open green complexes and fairways running up to the sand, the
Norman course presents a stunning challenge for any golfer.

Love Course

In 1994, Davis Love III founded Love Golf Design, a golf course architecture
company, with his younger brother and caddie, Mark Love. The company has
been responsible for the design of 19 courses throughout the southeast United
States including The Love Course at Barefoot Resort.

The Love Course at Barefoot Resort is a traditional course with a Low country
character and incorporates Davis Love, III’s Carolina golfing experiences in the
design. This visually striking course features course generous landing areas and
greens complexes similar to those found on Pinehurst #2, which has hosted
more single golf championships than any golf course in America. The Love
Course is a Par 72 and plays over 7,000 yards. The course will challenge the
good player, yet provide playability and enjoyment for the average player.

Fazio Course

Located between the Dye Course and the Love Course, the Fazio course has
been strategically designed, incorporating extensive tree cover and many lakes
into the landscaping. Waste areas and formal bunkers have been handcrafted
and placed for visual and strategic effect, while natural elevation changes add a
sense of drama and excitement the to golfing round. Water features can be
seen on 15 holes, yet many lakes are in out-of-play areas to ensure playability.

Dye Course

Pete Dye upholds his reputation of building memorable and challenging golf
courses by creating a stunning design filled with his infamous pitfalls to capture
errant shots. However, if played from the appropriate set of tees, players of all
abilities will be able to navigate the Dye Course. Pete Dye is famous for his use
of native grasses. The fairways are GN-1 Bermuda grass, a hybrid developed by
Greg Norman Turf. The approaches are Tifdwarf Bermudagrass and the greens
are Champion UltraDwarf. The dramatic visual effects are achieved by the
Centipede and Zoysia grass roughs. The course is a Par 72, 7,343-yard layout,
located within the confines of The Dye Estates.
