City Of El Dorado Selects KemperSports To Manage Prairie Trails Golf And Dining

The city of El Dorado, Kan., has selected KemperSports" to manage Prairie Trails Golf and Dining. The former private club, located 30 miles northeast of Wichita, Kan., includes an 18-hole golf course, full-service restaurant, meeting space and swimming pool.

Built in 1952, Prairie Trails Golf and Dining was a family-oriented private club until 2009 when it was sold to the city of El Dorado. After a national search for a management partner, the city selected KemperSports. KemperSports also operates Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kan., located just 30 miles west of El Dorado.

"KemperSports is the right partner to manage Prairie Trails Golf and Dining because of its experience and successful track record of operating municipal golf courses in the local market," said El Dorado City Manager Herb Llewellyn.

Prairie Trails Golf and Dining offers an 18-hole, 6,500-yard golf course that remains unique and challenging to golfers of all levels. In addition to golf, the club delivers a variety of casual and fine dining experiences in the Prairie Trails Restaurant.

"We look forward to introducing Prairie Trails to the residents of El Dorado and to golfers across the area," said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. "Working with the city of El Dorado, we will bring a best in class golf and dining experience to the market."
